Fab Founder's Day '17!
What a brilliant afternoon we all had, we went on a marvellous hike that had fun-filled checkpoints (which included knot tying with strawberry laces and even a special quiz) and came back to Bexon for some delicious smores, despite the marshmallows being smaller than expected! We also had an awesome art competition that had participants all the way from beaver scouts to our own adult leaders. All the art was very impressive however we did have winners in each category and age range which was judged by our wonderful DC herself Tracey. A huge well doe to everyone who entered as it made it very difficult to judge as you were all so good.
Big thank you to the team for organising this including: Nigel Brandon for the route planning, Angela Palmer for helping to lead the route (you did a superb job), the youth commissioners for helping pull it together, Stuart Turk and the SAS for helping judge the art and for being brilliant with the refreshments. Along with a big thank you to Beth Peal for supplies all the treats and sorting out the activities for the hike (especially the smores) as well as Tracey for doing a marvellous job.
We couldn't have such a success without such a good team. Here's to next year's!
